Golf

For golf fans...enjoy Grand Bahama's sunny skies as we average 7 hours of sun each day. There’s no season to limit play here, just year-round blue skies and warm weather. Grand Bahama offers three challenging courses:

The Westin/Sheraton Our Lucaya

The Westin/Sheraton Our Lucaya boasts two challenging courses and a world-class golf school. This 6,824 yard course, designed by Dick Wilson Test your precision rather than distance, with doglegs, elevated greens and thick stands of tropical foliage. So bring plenty of balls. Well-bunkered greens and generous fairways wander through pine tree stands and dense tropical underbrush. A sense of privacy prevails; foursomes rarely see each other during a round. Constant upgrades of the golf course and its facilities ensure the highest standards of golf. Tif dwarf grass -- a superior Bermuda grass, creates a faster truer putting surface.

The Reef Coarse

Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. in a contemporary links style, it requires a different approach. A strong short game goes a long way on this breathtaking course. The wide fairways may be a little forgiving but the huge bunkers that protect the greens are not. And the large, level greens may please the eye but their speed will harm your scorecard. Add that with an unpredictable ocean wind and you have yourself a formidable opponent.
