Where should you go to buy souvenirs? What items are cheaper in the Bahamas? Let's take a look at some of your options:
Port Lucaya Market Place

Port Lucaya is a center for tourist activities in Grand Bahama. This outdoor mall consist of dozens of stores and boutiques where you can find anything from bikinis to evening gowns, beer to diamonds, straw markets to internet cafes. There are also an abundance of restaurants and bars, many of which come alive at night. Did we mention that perfume, jewelry, rum & leather are DUTY FREE! Need we say more.
Straw Markets

Straw work is a local hand craft in which dried palm leaves are weaved together to make hats, bags, dolls, and other creative items. Such items can be expensive because of the skill and time required. Straw markets also sell t-shirts, dresses and other souvenirs.
International Bazaar

The former tourist mecca of Grand Bahama, the International Bazaar is now a older and run down version of Port Lucaya. It is still a tourist area and supports a variety of shops, bars, restaurants, fast food chains, midrange hotels and straw markets in or close by the Bazaar. Even though it is not as nice or comfortable as the Port Lucaya Market place, if you are a bargain hunter you may be able to find better deals in the Bazaar. The area also has the largest indoor night clubs.
Isle of Capri Casino

At Westin & Sheraton, this Caribbean-themed luxury casino boasts over 350 slot and video games, 50 video poker machines and 33 table games including black jack, craps, roulette, and mini baccarat. The casino opens at 10:00 a.m. and the fun goes until the wee hours of the night. The Isle also features a race book and credit is available. In addition, there is a high limit slot room and private high limit table games salon.
